Apulia Destination Wedding:
Connecting Puglia with International Wedding Planners

Apulia Destination Wedding connects international wedding planners, accommodation providers, venues and professionals across Puglia’s wedding industry.

An International Project for the Wedding Industry

Apulia Destination Wedding was created to promote Puglia as an international destination for weddings and events, establishing a direct connection between the region’s wedding industry and professionals from key international markets.

The project brings together wedding planners, specialised agencies, accommodation providers, masserie, hotels, exclusive venues and service providers. Its goal is to create professional relationships, new collaborations and concrete business opportunities.

It is not an event aimed at the general public, but a B2B platform designed around the needs of industry professionals.

The 2026 edition will take place from 13 to 15 November and will include three days of meetings, networking and experiences focused on discovering the destination.

Why Connect Directly with International Wedding Planners?

In the Destination Wedding industry, professional relationships are crucial.

International couples often rely on wedding planners or agencies with knowledge of the Italian market and the ability to select reliable venues, accommodation providers and suppliers. For Puglia-based operators, therefore, being able to present their services directly to the professionals handling these requests is strategically important.

A B2B meeting allows a venue or accommodation provider to present its offering, understand the needs of different markets and establish qualified commercial relationships.

For wedding planners, it is an opportunity to discover new partners, assess the organisational capabilities of the destination and identify solutions to propose to their clients.

Beyond Business Meetings

Choosing a venue for an international wedding cannot be based solely on a presentation or brochure.

Wedding planners need to see the spaces, understand distances, assess the hospitality and experience the destination first-hand. For this reason, Apulia Destination Wedding combines professional meetings with site inspections, experiential activities, cultural experiences and food and wine itineraries.

The project is designed to introduce Puglia through a real experience, showcasing not only individual properties but also the wider setting in which the wedding will take place.

Each element can become part of the programme offered to guests, from a visit to a historic town or a tasting to a cooking experience, a day by the sea or an event at a masseria.

The Role of Accommodation Providers

Accommodation providers are a fundamental part of the Destination Wedding industry.

A hotel, resort or masseria offers more than rooms. It can become the event venue, the point of arrival for guests and the operational hub for activities organised throughout their stay.

To engage effectively with the international market, a property needs to provide clear information about capacity, available spaces, exclusive-use options, food and beverage services and logistical arrangements.

A contingency plan for bad weather, English-language materials and the ability to prepare quotations quickly are also particularly important.

Taking part in a B2B project allows properties to understand which aspects of their offering need to be improved or presented differently.

Puglia as a Destination, Not Just a Collection of Venues

The international market is not simply choosing a property. It is choosing a destination that is accessible, organised and capable of providing coordinated services.

For this reason, promotion needs to go beyond individual venues. Puglia should be presented as a connected destination made up of accommodation providers, professionals, services, territories and complementary experiences.

Collaboration between local operators makes it possible to create more comprehensive offerings and respond to couples with different needs, budgets and backgrounds.

The value of Apulia Destination Wedding lies precisely in bringing this network together and presenting it as a unified destination to international buyers.

The Results of the Previous Edition

The 2025 edition involved 16 selected international agencies, more than 30 local operators and stakeholders, and generated over 300 organised B2B meetings.

Participating professionals came from a range of international markets, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

These results demonstrate how promoting Destination Weddings requires structured opportunities for meetings, mutual understanding and business development.

A Destination to Experience, Not Just Observe

Puglia’s strength lies in its ability to offer a distinctive and recognisable experience.

Its architecture, landscape, cuisine and hospitality make it possible to create events rooted in the destination while meeting the standards expected by the international market.

A wedding in Puglia should not simply use the region as a backdrop. It should tell its story, express its identity and turn it into a shared experience for the couple and their guests.
